Good to see Robinson starting too, the further away James is from an England goal the better. Still would prefer Carlo though :-D

Cole was shocking. He's usually genius, but tonight.... Every pass went astray, and he just couldn't cross. I've seen versatile play much worse than tonight. *cough* Highbury last season *cough*
Beckham is hopeless. I don't know what you see in him ashman.... =8 ?

Me and Colour basically gave almost identical reviews of the players, (except the cole and carragher one, not sure what he was drinking there :-D) surely two people can't be wrong, obviously the team performed to such an extent two people formed the same opinion

*sighs* do i need to say it slower? A....better.... .team....would....have... .easily....dealt.... .with....it. Understand now? Good good

Well if it was such a 'excellent' display then surely there should be no defensive lapses yes?

Could say the same of yours, different opinions and takes on things. It happens, obviously you're more easily appeased than me.

Well it wasn't excellent. But it wasn't as bad as you were saying.
It was practically the way we always play away from home in a qualifier; averagely, when we all know that when they care more the players can do better.
> and the final pass wasn't exactly defence splitting, they got lucky with the poor defending, a better team would have hoofed that to safety.
I'm literally shocked by this. Are you winding me up now? If it wasn't a great ball then why did the defender cr@p himself and put it past Dudek? Why didn't he hoof it away? You've clearly never played football in your life, the hardest ball to defend as a defender is one drilled into the six yard box. *Shakes head*

If one lapse in concentration during 90 minutes is shambolic defending then you should watch more football lad. Carragher was poor, i agree, but the defence as whole played well, not allowing the Poles more than a couple of half chances. Fact.

LOL. I've seen games where my team has drawn 0-0 and we've been all over the opposition. The scoreline doesn't always reflect the games, especially not how many chances are created!
As for the excellent performance part, you say black i say white. Some of your comments are shocking though.

You sure you didn't get your flanks mixed up? Cole was average but Carragher was an absolute disgrace. Skinned...and again...and again.
Oh, and again.
Otherwise I can't fault your analysis in a major way, other than being a little harsh on Beckham - but that's your opinion and I'm not starting tha off again.
;^)

Wasn't referring to you, was referring to Quinty who called it excellent. I for the life of me can't see how it is such

If you look back I never said it was excellent, I said it was satisfactory, whereas you said we were awful.

What build up? Beckham lumped it in for the first and Defoe had to do it all and the second was basic knocking it down the wing and the final pass wasn't exactly defence splitting, they got lucky with the poor defending, a better team would have hoofed that to safety.

Go watch the Polish goal and find some highlights of Carragher tonight while you're looking around for your match stats

Yes all over them, that's why it was only a one goal lead and we had to clear an effort off the line. My Gawd we were all over them
