Ugh.

Like the browser. But hate it not working with CSS's scrollbar attribute...

Anyway is there a way (add-on) to get it to work?

I've re-installed Firefox freshly, and managed to get the extensions manager to pop up for the fisrt time. However, it shows the new extension in the list for a few moments, with the text 'waiting ...', then it disappears. Trying again doesn't bring back the extensions manager, and the browser just hangs.

Recon I should just give up?

Not at all, They're just forcing the correct use of the tag instead to come more into line with XML.

The general joke about xHTML 2.0 is that all you'll be left with is

and
;)

Though IMHO, life would be easier iof everyone used Lynx;)

1.1 only works in Strict and not widely used unless your a masochist. Current standards are 1.0 Strict/Transitional/*cough*Framset. 1.1 has yet to be finalised by the W3C and therfore is only still a suggested standard. Very few application have yet to enable to validation of 1.1 and won't do until it becomes the norm, which is some way off yet!

I've only ver built one site using 1.1 Strict and it was hell. Still suffering nightmares now, only to get cold sweats at the thought of coding for 2.0 which will chaneg the way people code for ever. Imagine life without an tag!?!?!

DreamWeaver MX 2004 will only validate XHTML 1.0 coding, unless you get a plugin it will not validate the latter 1.1 version of XHTML

Sounds like a duff install.

Uninstall FF using ADD/REMOVE progs. then go to:

c:\documents & settings\your profile\application data\

and delete the mozilla/firefox folder.

Restart your PC and reinstall FF.

Should fix the problem

There's a bug with installing FF over the top of older versions especially when extensions are involved. Had this issue before myself and this seemed to fix it.

I didn't refresh, I even tried loading the page in a new browser tab via a link - nah-dah. It's really odd. I even went to other websites that use that attribute and they don't work either. Must just be something gone balls-up in my installation of FireFox. I use FireFox because it is so compliant.

1. 9.0.3
2. Yes.
3. I don't think so, I'm going to the pages via the browser and simply clicking the link. No extension manager pops-up. How would I access this through the extension manager directly (or was that supposed to happen by simply clicking on the link)?

I went to the Tools > Extensions tab, and tried an update, but it said there wern't any available. I then tried the 'get more extensions link' but the browser poped open and the same, reload effect happened.
