Im using a clapped uot old 19" monitor until I can afford a nice flatscreen CRT, but today it keeps "refreshing itself" with a clicking noise (the same noise as when you change resolutions or refresh rates) is it the heat (the back does feel quite hot)- or is it time to sell it while it still works?

I have the 957MB which I think is a better version of the 957P. I would agree on those ratings. This monitor has been excellent, with picture quality being amazing for the price. Would have no hesitations of getting another Samsung again.

It was ok for games, but when it came to DVDs it just didn't cut it, the contrast suffered - but the determining factor was the limitation on resolutions - 1280x1024 - just doesn't do it for me anymore.I didn't see the point of getting a cutting edge card only to have it run at a resolution that my old 9600 could run when pushed.
This makes all the more sense when ut2004 is displaying its DX8.5 engine at 1600x1200 with EVERYTHING turned on to high!!

The older ones did a bit with 20 ms panels. The newer 16 ms ones are fine. But even then the image quality on the CRT is still noticeably better.
