There we go, PSP has just out sold DS for the first time.

Many people have waited for years for a console that is not Nintendo with the usual line of of Nintendo games. And the stylus is not going to save the DS. DS just is not powerfull enough to take on PSP. How many years til the GBA2 is released?

Ah my little Nintendo nerds would appear the tide is turning.

Then again I did warn you that when it comes to next gen handheld gaming the DS just doesn't cut the mustard.

I will certainly be doing some PROPER testing on the battery life. Rather than the rumour mill which seems to have it down to 15 seconds if you switch the unit on.

Exactly.

I can see the battery life issue becoming a problem for some people. Not for me luckily, but it will for some.

My wireless set-up at home which I use for Xbox works brilliantly. So the thought of sitting in the living room with my PSP whilst Corrie (etc!) is on is absolute heaven.

And it'll be even better if I can get online with it.

Yes, so does DS. Furthermore, they actually have the games, already released, to prove it.

Considering the already short life of the PSP, that makes it...1 hour of continous use?

You wont be the only "switcher". Step into the "true" next gen handheld world.

Someone wrote about how they are working on making a wireless standard for DS? But PSP already has the industry standard 80211g. Its ready to go.

Any use of wireless on PSP and DS will reduce battery life.

I know, it is a shame really. Just can't justify having BOTH.

Mario is on Ebay now. Console will follow after that.

I guess to a point it does match up with the fact that the PSP is aimed at the older market a little....

Although must admit had a good sesson on Mario last night!
