There we go, PSP has just out sold DS for the first time.

Many people have waited for years for a console that is not Nintendo with the usual line of of Nintendo games. And the stylus is not going to save the DS. DS just is not powerfull enough to take on PSP. How many years til the GBA2 is released?

Nintendo DS since launch 3.5 million

PSP since launch: 600,000

Hmmm so it hasn't.

The PSP overtook it, just, one week. The Gamecube did that in 2003 for the PS2 several times.

Does that mean it is the biggest seller???

In fact the Wonderswan beat the GBA once as well :D

Add the Gameboy and DS sales together and the PSP still lost.

I have no doubt that the PSP will give the DS a serious run for its money (even if it ultimately doesn't beat it in total sales).

The PSP has got to rely on the adult market for its big sales and the adult market mainly will not be interested in a handheld console. I'm definitely in the minority there.

I'd buy a PSP (and quite possibly WILL buy a PSP) but absolutely not at the import prices. £150 for the value pack and I'd get one. But not over £200 PLUS the games.

I have always maintained that when people have a choice between the PSP and DS their is only ever gonna be one winner the PSP is so much more powerfull, better graphics and state of the art functions Sony are onto a winner and a stylus is not a good enough answer.

In Gametron they're selling it for £360!!!

Look people are either gonna by a GBA or a DS.

The DS' sales figures last week were a fantastic 53,000
(should be noted the week before it was 108,000)

The PSP's were 64,000
(the week before 63,000)

The GBA's were 18,000 (thanks to Mario Party Advance)

Whilst the normal GBA was at 588
It might be funny to note that the X-box sold 506

If you add the GBA's and DS together you're looking at 71,000 sales for Nintendo's handhelds. That is utterly unbelievable.

The Gamecube sold just 7,475.

I think you'll see Nintendo had a very good week.

According to the sales it is.

It'll be the must own device this Christmas. Beating the PSP.
