I heard it was an extremely violent film, and for a laugh, I want to see it with a couple of my mates. Do any of know where to get it? Possibly, any Import retalier? Any help would be appreciated.

you can get it at any DVD shop in england, most HMV's have loads of copies

Its so darkly humourous in places. Like the cheery trainingg video or the frequent updates of who was recently killed.

Got to say though those Japanese are a bloomin tough lot (though not very accurate), they can take a whole clip full of ammo before finally keeling over. After they've told their story though of course. Just look at Takeshi, gets shot, gets up, gets shot again, tells them to wait a bit he still hasn't finished his story yet........then dies.

It's not really that violent.
The bit in the lighthouse gets pretty messy, I think.
But not too bad.
Good film, though. Tasty Japanese girls in short skirts with guns and stuff - what more could you want?

i highly recommend the book of Battle Royale, it's even better than the film.

the ending made me laugh with the teacher getting up to answer the phone. Plus the ending was just setting up the 2nd film which is also good IMO. not as good as the first[was never going to be] but still a good watch.
