well here's a lil update as to my FWA mischief...
today (after the infamous FWA "warmup" and a round of bumps) we were doing match drills. for those who aren't sure, that's basically a sequence of moves that will normally prime the workers for a rest hold (mat headlock or similar).
first off we started learning the basic moves we'd need, which was an armdrag, hiptoss, shoulderblock and leapfrogging a running opponent.
The drills were fairly fluid and consisted of the following sequence:
lockup -> left side headlock (rest hold)
push off onto the ropes -> shoulderblock (brief rest)
off the ropes(1), jump the lying opponent
off the opposite ropes(2), duck the leapfrog
back off the (1) ropes and take a hiptoss
boy did THAT hurt after a few times :)
last week we were doing mostly mat wrestling so to go in today and come out knowing a fairly good set of basic moves was really cool :)
they're a good bunch of guys and quick to help each other out which is cool and aside from a dude who's having real hassles getting anything down (even simple things like breakfalls :S ) it's all going pretty well!!
now if you'll excuse me i have to go put some ice on my upper arm (he can't get armdrag setups right either ;) ) and have a shower!
You may then send a resume, pictures and a videotape of your work to:

If I were you, I'd land a job at TNA and work with Raven and co. Then move on to WWE and make yourself alot of cash. Wayhey. Don't forget to keep in touch when you make it big.
he's a cool enough guy, but seriously, my upper left arm is a veritible myriad of odd colours and it really shouldn't be.
for things like an armdrag, you feed the left arm in and the opponent links it, turns so they're side-on to you, grabs the left arm with their right arm too (so both their arms are the leverage on your "fed" left arm), then they just fall back. As the person feeding the arm, all ya have to do is run in, link arms and take a slightly skewed flip-bump, the momentum will help the opponent turn so the move ends with them on their stomach and you on your back with them still holding your arm to go into a rest hold.
ok, the pivotal point of this is the opponent falling backwards. they need to do this so you bump over them and if they can't breakfall, they end up twisting their body and just pulling you over instead. which is exactly what happened to me... a LOT :S
the best i can describe it is "like getting a quick, but harsh chinese burn on your inner bicep"
