Just out of personal interest I was wondering if anyone used to watch this. It held a 9:30 slot on Channel4 on a friday or something.

I've never actually seen it but it sounded all right and my mate has the DVDs, so I was gonna borrow them off her after she's watched them.

Worth it?

I thought that he died just before they completed it and put in a sort of montage of clips of Ted from the series...

Father Ted only finished after a few years because Dermot Morgan died just before they finished filming what became the last episode.

Well the main star of the show is Dylan Moran, and if you've ever seen his stand up acts you'll have a feel for Black Books.

Sorry it's a joke I have with friends, but obviously none of you lot would know that, so handicap it is.
:)

Excellent. FT was great. From what she and another friend have described though it's not like FT as such. I guess I'll have to watch it, but thanks for backing me up. (I don't get much time for DVDs ye see, so time is precious)

I think it's more of a handicap than a handy cap. Although don't get me wrong, many a cap has come in handy over the years.

Anyway, yes, the third series was on in recent months, the first series was a few years back. It's from the creators of Father Ted, if that gives you any idea. They obviously didn't start on this until Father Ted finished before its time.

Thanks. Me not watching it is kind of a handy cap, but when was it around? Recently? A year ago?
