Feeling lonely and isolated?

Looking at stale old posts?

Nobody around to talk to?

Creative juices dried up?

You need new miracle Extra GAD. Extra GAD sweeps as it cleans as it enlivens.

The person with the best suggestion for an EXTRA GAD competition will win any game of their choice.

Closing date = midnight on August 26th.

And YES - the winning suggestion will be used as a real Extra GAD compo (er - just like this one).

So, by gad, get adding you cads. You are never too old to be bold!

**** IMPORTANT - EDITED POSTS DON'T COUNT ****

If two people suggest the same winning idea it will be the first one to post it that wins.

Do you regularly read NGC?

Have you seen those sections they have asking people to visit a certain location dressed up as a certain Nintendo games character?

They've had Pikmin down your local garden centre.
Princess Peach in the bakery up the road.
Super Mario.
Donkey Kong...

I think you could use an idea like.

Perhaps it could be, to take a staffie/users user-name and set us all out to dress up as the 'person who matches the name' as best we can.

No, I'm not talking about a 'Solskjaer', 'WookieeMonster' or Vampyr - they're all far too easy.

Something creative... Like 'AfroJoe', only, bigger. Maybe 'Kilgore Trout', for an example (although, I'm sure, you could think of a better example)? It's got to really make your mind boil and bubble.

Quite like the 'Draw the Staffies' competition you had a while ago, but this one could be far more imaginative, creative and fun.

You could even let us choose our own, rather than having to tear through your hair with another Notable-style "Which Member?" election.

:)

So, what do you think?

At the end of the day, it's all about showing what you can really do and that you are enjoying yourself, right?

How about a good, old-fashioned caption competition?

Design the new SR staff uniform. It should consist of:

A hat. 99% of body heat is lost through the head so not wearing a hat can lead to hypothermia, which can lead to staff falling ill, taking days off and adversely affecting the profitability of the Harlow diamond mining complex.

Some facial hair. Pesky government regulators might object to child labour but they are easily fooled by fake moustaches etc.

Trousers. For the sake of public decency.

Shoes. For the merciless running down of shoplifters.

Some sort of go-go-gadget-glove.

Or the uniform could consist of whatever you want.

====

My other ideas, which I have spent some time perfecting are:

Design a cigar for the SR tycoons.

Think of a new business venture for SR and register the necessary domain name, eg UKCocaineRunning.com, UKHitmen.com, UKDonkeyRides.com

Design an SR offshore tax haven.

Demolish a rival store and take a picture of you holding the SR mag while swinging the old demolition ball.

Vampyr's Gad Ideas

continuous

1) POST - Best/Random post wins a prize each day
2) POST - most words posted in a month (without being stupid or being banned/warned)
3) POST - Best Link of the month
4) POST - Best topic of month wins a prize
5) PRICEBUSTER - if one can find a game from a reputable shop for at least £5 cheaper than SR... sort of thing (could use tweaking a bit)[helps SRs prices be low and good]

one offs

1) take some game characters and mix em together to make super characters (eg mario with yoshi feet and peach hair to make princess maroshi - the campest super dinoman around... but obviously it would need to be better)
2) who can have thier photo taken in all SR shops quickest.
3) invent a game character
4) invent a game
5) invent an Egad

thats enuff for moment no?

[S] the edits are for spelling (which i suck att)

Stop whinging, you little whinger. I've submitted the second most amount of cheats and won a single GAD and submitted 8 walkthroughs, plus other additions to site content for my GADs. Stop taking it all so seriously and just do something useful.

You could like, er, design and describe a new game for the PC or a console that would go out to the shops to be sold and for that you would have to design the game box and describe what you would have to do on the game.

Or you could, er, design and describe a new console, where you would have to design the console and describe what it is like and its features.

I may put a more detailed version of them up later on, dunno yet.
