The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Looking at stale old posts?
Nobody around to talk to?
Creative juices dried up?
You need new miracle Extra GAD. Extra GAD sweeps as it cleans as it enlivens.
The person with the best suggestion for an EXTRA GAD competition will win any game of their choice.
Closing date = midnight on August 26th.
And YES - the winning suggestion will be used as a real Extra GAD compo (er - just like this one).
So, by gad, get adding you cads. You are never too old to be bold!
**** IMPORTANT - EDITED POSTS DON'T COUNT ****
If two people suggest the same winning idea it will be the first one to post it that wins.
My idea:
A walkthrough for the forums. Maybe it could help all the nice JATs and newbies by getting to know all the users. Basically you take the whole list of posters, I think the top posters for the last 30 days would be best as these guys and gals are still around and write a little guide to them. Whether it be they eat newbies or adore them and what forums they hang out in etc. It would be nothing personal like "They like chips and pizza" because well.. it's the Internet. Just a little friendly guide to all the users.
And like all the Extra GADs you obviously won't want it to be too serious so the guides would try to be comical and slightly 'wacky' as it were. Also improving the atmosphere of the forums to new users, if they see a serious walkthrough / guide to the users they will think: boring. But seeing a funny one will make them want to stay because ukchatforums.com is a fun, friendly place..
Also this will guarantee good entries because it will take quite some time to write and so they will hopefully be of a high standard. And you may even want to use them, as for where you'll put them though, perhaps it could be an extra page on the top posters list or something.
And that is my idea.

Post it again ST. It won't win if it is edited.
That's to avoid somebody else pinching your idea and posting it further back down the thread.

Shucks - I stole your thunder.
(goes to look two pages back)
Special reserve have decided to enter the home console market and it's up to you to design it.
You choose the specs, controller design, case design, etc (maybe even some SR themed games.)
Sorry if this has already been suggested - 260 posts is a lot to check through.

Yes, I think that's what I said last time. So this time I am the mostest.

To form a permanent starter guide to the forums.
