Feeling lonely and isolated?

Looking at stale old posts?

Nobody around to talk to?

Creative juices dried up?

You need new miracle Extra GAD. Extra GAD sweeps as it cleans as it enlivens.

The person with the best suggestion for an EXTRA GAD competition will win any game of their choice.

Closing date = midnight on August 26th.

And YES - the winning suggestion will be used as a real Extra GAD compo (er - just like this one).

So, by gad, get adding you cads. You are never too old to be bold!

**** IMPORTANT - EDITED POSTS DON'T COUNT ****

If two people suggest the same winning idea it will be the first one to post it that wins.

How about, a puzzle EGAD. SR have a question and an answer. They then put clues all over the network these clues should be hard so that the game lasts longer, then they have to work out the answer either by further clues or reasearch. The question could be based on anything, but i would say best subject owuld be games.

Write articles about the upcoming handheld EGAD

Pretty self explanatory - using the knowledge of the PSP and the DS write a 3000 character preview on these consoles. The best articles win a game, get put on the site, and maybe even get shown in the magazines - so you might have to give away Two games!

oh, the possibility's - you could even host the 3000 character review on your own site, with pictures and screen shots. Yep.

[ I have posted this previously in this thread, but I have now included a few more details and I thought it would be easier to read in one post - hopefully that will alright. ]

My idea:

A walkthrough for the forums. Maybe it could help all the nice JATs and newbies by getting to know all the users. Basically you take the whole list of posters, I think the top posters for the last 30 days would be best as these guys and gals are still around and write a little guide to them. Whether it be they eat newbies or adore them and what forums they hang out in etc. It would be nothing personal like "They like chips and pizza" because well.. it's the Internet. Just a little friendly guide to all the users.

Also when ether a JAT / Newbie signs up they will probably feel slightly overwhelmed, this can easily be solved with a guide to the forums and how to get started. And where to post certain topics etc.

And like all the Extra GADs you obviously won't want it to be too serious so the guides would try to be comical and slightly 'wacky' as it were. Also improving the atmosphere of the forums to new users, if they see a serious walkthrough / guide to the users and forums they will think: boring. But seeing a funny one will make them want to stay because ukchatforums.com is a fun, friendly place.

Also this will guarantee good entries because it will take quite some time to write and so they will hopefully be of a high standard. And you may even want to use them, as for where you'll put them though, perhaps it could be an extra page on the top posters list or something.

So a summary:

> A guide to all the forums on ukchatforums.com, what to post where etc.

> A guide to the top 100 posters in the last 30 days or something a long these lines - just make sure the guide covers all the members who are still around.

> A guide / walkthrough how to get started at ukchatforums.com E.g. Introduce yourself in General Chat

> And of course the best guides would win.

And that is my idea.

A Silent Thunder Production.
