I want to use Bittorrent for striclty legal purposes etc etc.

I want to download the stuff via the computer that isn't connected to the computer by USB (if you know what I mean - the software for the router is installed on the other computer). There's this whole port forwarding business, however.

Is this how I should be doing it?

If not, explain ffs. It's pishing me off.
:^D

And if it is the right way, I'll sure have fun entering all the ports.

You can use pretty much any port range you want with the odd exception.
Try using something like 6881-6886 and set up the port forwarding for these ports.
You only really need a few of them anyway.

See, this has confused me.

I put 6881 in start and 6999 in end, but what goes in private?

I tried, but it said it was invalid.

I tried "6881-6999" - that's right, non?

Can't you enter port ranges in the virtual server part instead of one at a time?

Begger, no, it's yellow.

Is there another way to do this at all?

Hmm.
I can only do this for 20 ports.
Hopefully that's enough...

Not tried it yet - I'm looking for confirmation before I go through the joyous process of entering every single port number.

Cheers, tis what I wished to hear/read.

I don't use port forwarding on the router myself. Mines is set up so it will allow everything to come in and out of my PC, as I've got McAfee to protect my PC anyway.

Those IP addresses look perfectly fine to me.

Yes that all looks okay. Do you get a green connection?

Yeah - I think they're right though, as that's the IP of my address on the LAN or something.

I did ipconfig in DOS, and that's what I got, so, erm.
Yeah.
