If there are any Streets fans, please tell us-

I would have classed The Streets as belonging to the 'Nonsense' genre.

Well, their music is sort of similar to Blurs (Talking, not singing), Blur are rock, undeniably.

Whooooooo, yaaaay, story telling.

Read a book or watch a film or something, just don't listen to "stories" by means of cackarse music.

"A Grand Dont Come For Free" is a concept album, I didnt realise.
Each song tells a different, smaller part of the overall story and when you get to the end, it's told.

You may not like them, but he's done more than you have.

I'd rather stick my hand into a fire than listen to The Streets' "music".

You just reminded yourself by re-iterating the lyric.

I used to hate the streets but then I missed the point.

They aren't wonderful songs and when they begin you want to switch it off.

But it's all about the power of lyrics and story telling.

Anyone who has suffered a nasty break up will know where "Dry your eyes" are coming from. It's a painful reminder on how Love can really really hurt. Listening to Mike's tale of how his heart was ripped to shreds and how awful he felt is very easy to relate to, simplistic lyrics but very well done.

"Empty Cans" off of the new album also convey's a powerful message.

You don't listen to the streets to nod your head and tap your feet... you listen to the streets just to listen... and here what he has to say.
