I think EA's view of Nintendo's market is the issue here. Reflected in the fact Cube isn't getting it but Xbox/PS2 is.

I'd imagine it's more to do with EA not being bothered to develop an entire new version of the game to work on the DS platform.
Remember the game needs not just graphically changing.
EA will develop totally new games for the DS, Godfather can stay on the PSP if all it'll be is a dumbed down version of the home console title.
About EA obviously seeing this as "too adult" for GBA/Cube and - most worryingly - the DS, I do.

Played The Third Age over later Dec and early Jan it was a quality sidestory to LOTR despite being entirely composed at EA.

EA have always been okay, just not the company that's developing this license.
