I know this hardly effects us because it was never going to be any good. But EA's Godfather game has been cancelled on the Gamecube, DS and GBA and will now hit the PS2, X-box, PSP and PC.
Shame.

lots of people think true crime is great. It depends what you're looking for, I suppose.

I doubt it'll even meet the abysmal standards of True Crime.
Still, it'll no doubt sell like hot cakes along with the awful looking Scarface game that's getting released later this year.

EA have already stated what they think of the DS's userbase compared to the PSPs. I very much doubt the DS will see a version of the Godfather at any point which as I've said is of little loss. Just don't want it to be the start of a trend, which, judging by EA's previous comments on the userbases, could be what's happening.

Could be a blessing in disguise. A game based on what is probably the best movie ever made will almost certainly be an unmitigated failure. I doubt it will ever live up to the standard of the movie. I want it to be good, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

The DS' fanbase is bigger so Godfather would appeal.
