Don't do it.

You'll end up with a big toe nail split completely down the middle squirting blood, like me. I type this with an ice pack over my foot.

It doesn't hurt like hell, but you could certainly do without it.

When I say "Don't do it", I mean, "I'll be playing again in a week-ish".

oops! too late.. tried it. buy some shoes next time you play... they're not expensive.

I was going to post a topic like this today after I did almost the same thing!

Before, I've managed to kick the ball so much that the whole top of my foot was red raw and stung for a week, today I managed to stump the floor before getting to the ball.

If hurt sooooo much, now I have half a toe-nail.

Suppose I should get ready for the guaranteed ingrowing toe-nail...

So much barefoot footiness, maybe we should form a beach soccer team.

Yeah I hate it when you manage to bend your big toe too far either way, bloody annoying.

I was playing footy barefoot today too. It's fine until you decide to play heads and volleys. Chipping the ball up with your toes hurts a fair bit, and it's horrid when you hear the ball/toe nail scratchy sound.

Heh, was playing at school... Nail got cracked in half... Not much fun.

However did get to walk around school for the rest of the time with only one shoe on.
