the game was certificeted 18 and over when the boy was only 17. the game is not real so it is up to the player if he takes it seriously or not. the game does not say go out and kill so its a persons own decision. so i think people should go easy on rockstar .

You don't play GTA and go out on a mass murder car jacking spree and go shoot some people with an Uzi after a hard days wrth of destruction now do you?

Personally, I think it would just make much more sense to ban knives, paper bags and large blunt objects.
That and crazy people.
But of course, as I've said in other topics concerning this, Manhunt did influence this kid in some way, and with all the hype the game is recieving, it wouldn't surprise me if like minded psychopaths sought out this game to see what all the fuss is about.
I don't think banning Manhunt would be a bad thing if it could prevent any more killings like this, but I hope certain other games made by Rockstar aren't affected.
