For thos of you who don't know Nova, when he worked in ECW he was seen as an innovator who came up with new and impressive moves almost every week, but in some regards he looked sloppy as he hadn't mastered basics such as making his punches look real. This could be the reason he's been stuck in OVW for so long, it will be interesting to see a guy come out of OVW who I have seen work previously to see if OVW really has any worth in improving a worker as most guys who come out of there seem green...

Hopefully he'll have been working on that in OVW though...if he hasn't improved in this basic area, I will be forced to conclude that OVW is useless and adds nothing to the WWE business...

What?!?! He can't punch? He can't do 80% of the WWE's repertoire? Ooooh no chance for him then :-D

Rather like Al Snow in that respect...

But Heindenrich was back in OVW for a total of just over two weeks. What exactly is he supposed to have learned in that small space of time, eh?

just in time for John Heidenreich to drop him heavily back on it again...
sloppy jackass. wonder if his time on OVW has payed off. guess we'll see soon as he's coming back to smackdown, i spy another "monster" push...

I'll fill you in on his history then Lipe.
Nova debuted as a memeber of Steven Richard's entourage and therefore, by default, a member of Raven's flock. Nova very really wrestled, but took part in some very entertaining skits alongside Richards and his lackey The Blue Meanie, where they impersonated a number of wrestlers from the past and rock band Kiss. When Raven left for WCW, the faction became the Blue World Order, a rib on WCW's 'nWo'. Richards was Big Stevie Fool, Meanie - The Heartbreak Meanie (complete with 'Meanie Toy, He's just a meanie toy' entrance music) and Nova became 'Hollywood' Nova, complete with pen drawn 'stubble'.
However, it wasn't until Stevie Richards retired through injury (a bad neck injury, which Richards eventually came back from after a series of surgeries, by which time he'd signed for the WWE) that Nova would begin competing in the ECW ring, forming a hugely popular tag team with the Blue Meanie. Paul Heyman had been sitting on a real in-ring talent and Nova's fondness for creating crazy new moves every week got him over big time with the ECW faithful, who even ignored the fact that he has the worst looking punch in wrestling history. Meanie and Nova notably feuded with the FBI, but before they could get their hands on the coverted Tag Team titles, Meanie was signed away by the WWE. Nova disappeared from ECW TV for a while, whilst he sharpened his skills at the 'House of Hardcore' under the tutelage of Tazz and Perry Saturn.
Whilst at the house, Nova became friends with Tazz's cousin Chris Chetti, who had recently become the first graduate of ECW's in-house training school. When Nova returned to TV he quickly formed another popular Tag Team with Chetti, as they came up with double team maneuvers that put even the partnership of Nova and Meanie in the shade. Chetti's 'No Gimmick Needed' gimmick, was eventually given an overhaul as he became a 'prima donna' and Nova, who had previously been portrayed as a goofy super-hero wannabe, suddenly found himself in the unusual position of being 'the serious one' again, Nova would miss out on Tag Team gold as Chetti turned on him, resulting in a blistering one-on-one feud which culminated in Nova beating Chetti in a 'loser-leaves-ECW' match, as Chetti left for a WWE developmental contract.
Chetti soon returned as his stay in OVW was a short one and he was released within 3 months of inking the deal. Chetti immediately came back to ECW and resumed the feud with Nova, which was shaping up to be the feud that really pushed Nova to the top of the organisation, but then ECW fell through and Nova was forced to work the indies, before he was finally offered a WWE development contract in late 2001 and that's where he's been since. Almost three years now stuck in OVW, whilst the less talented big me around him were promoted to the full roster...
