man utds website says dear old nicholas has had a fee agreed with newcastle. 2.5 million! thats a bit of a bargain. I though he was cheap at 4mill! Newcastle have landed themselves a player they have desperately needed for quite some time. I was hoping he'd go to one of my pet teams.

Butt is two years younger and far superior, yet only cost 0.6 mill more, strange.

Sad to see the boy go, but Ferguson has (for some reason) decided Phil Neville does the job just as well - oh well!

I think he'll do well at the Toon. Bit of experience for the youngsters like Jenas - and if he can recreate his 2002 form it'll be one of the steals of the close season.
