Both a Buy it Now and Bidding auction. Most of you won't be interested but if you know anyone who is looking for one but not willing to pay full price then they may be interested.
Cheers!

So what sort of business are you starting then?
Technically it still sells on average at around £260-270 and with eBay being the hunting ground that it is I wouldn't be at all surprised if it went up towards the £200 mark. The purpose of the Buy it Now though is just to make people step over the edge; especially with it being just slightly out of a realistic price range.
I have ordered my X800XT Platinum Edition tonight along with some new Cold Cathode lights for the case and I am still awaiting delivery for the FX53 I ordered a couple of weeks back which was out of stock at the time. Put it this way, those stupid enough to think I am 'showing off' wouldn't be thinking that if they saw the Gold Card bill I have to pay at the end of all this. I still owe on my TV and new Phillips LCD TV/Monitor. It really is a b*stard to cough up and pay at the end of the month.

I dont suppose you could get me one at that price? :(
If I were to win this, I wouldn't need Special delivery really - it'd only be going to your local Delivery Office anyway - which is my workplace :D
So that could be waived, right?
All hypothetical at the moment, I may not win!
I'd most probably bid on that card, but I am rather broke at the moment.
Oh, and don't you think the Buy It Now price is a little high? Or is that the idea? It's just that you can get brand new 9800 XT's for under £190 now.
Still, I'm tracking it on My Ebay, so I still might get a bid in at some point.
You can somehow incorrectly judge that from a reply. Ummm...

Fair point. I said the VAT thing as a joke initially and then since it seemed to annoy Alistair so much, I kept on saying it. I was baiting him; I admit I like baiting him occasionally, partly because I think he is the most aggressive, sneering poster in the whole forum, and partly because he reacts in such an amusing way when given a taste of his own medicine. If I was more mature and less bored then I wouldn't bother. But, still, the web design forum is an oasis of sanity compared to the rest of the place so I apologise for subjecting other people to it.
So, please could you all remove those long blunt wooden sticks from your fat behinds and stop flaming Alastair. I see no reason why Alastair should be insulted for deciding to keep up to date with technology, sheesh are you all trying to say that if you had enough money you wouldnt spend your money on computer components?
To me it looks like many people are lurking on these forums, waiting to pounce on the slightly vulnerable exposing every slight weakness in their posts and using it against them.
What a hostile forum, i'm leaving.
I can't help talking about what I have bought, especially when people ask me what I have done recently.
As NB said, a lot of it seems to be compounded jelously for an unknown reason. You are telling me you would turn down an X800XT for £80?
