For years we tell our young that they don't exist, when they can clearly see them under the bed and hear them in the closet.
We try to make them furry and funny in children's books, so they seem even more ridiculous in real life.
They don't appear as much as they used to, it's true and hardly anything is seen when you don't look for it. Most adults don't take the time to even notice they are there.
Soon, though, this may change again.
