"In the next notable election...."

We should be able to vote a Notable OUT. Out on his ass I say. Let's face it, half of them hardly appear on the board as much as they did when they were first voted in. They were given their status because they make the forum a "fun place to come and visit" as the Notable definition says, but the majority of them hardly visit themselves, let alone make it fun for others. As such, we should be able to vote them off and give them a good old fashioned booing, like some sort of forum pantomime.


What say you regular folk?

Notable are legends. Legends are forever.

The first notable election had five members voted in. I think it was a free-for all where every registered user could vote for five people. The first five people to get five votes or more became notables. I think those five were Grix, Sniper, FantasyMeister, Meka and Ant if I recall correctly.

It's been suggested a multitude of times but never seriously considered.

Or maybe on some occasions more than one notable was voted in...

Plus Pro-Evo is the best example for the 'why the f**k are you a notable' question.

It's never really been a 'best poster' type contest, merely a 'who has the most contacts from SR on MSN contest.'

Unfortunatly for me however I actually have real people that I know on my list so, well, I'm out of it...

but instead of a revolver, they play with a bazooka

I think each election the current notables should be made to play Russian roulette

Calm down folks, it was just a light hearted suggestion, no need to get all red-faced about it. I'm not about to start campaigning that this happens or anything. It'd just make voting more fun if we could KILL OFF NOTABLES . I mean vote. Vote them off.
