Is dangerously addictive, almost impossibly deep, and is a truly marvellous management spectacle.

It is also frustrating beyond words, often truly ridiculous and is a cause of premature mental instability.

I love Football Manager '05

I should have it by tomorrow.

Looking forward to it. Bought it after PES4 started annoying me with its tactical limitations.

Of course they do. That's one of the reasons it's so realistic.

Although, they don't improve in the same style as the Master League. The stats go up depending on performance and how well a player did in a particular area. They can also decrease with poor performance or with injury. And as a player ages, only the technical stats will drop - mental attributes continue to increase.

It's much more realistic than PES4. And much more addictive as well.

Do players improve in FM05 like in PES4 Master League?

If you don't know how to pick a target man then surely you don't know how to choose a captain, who takes set pieces or your playmaker...

There's a tab, or menu for target men in the same list where you can choose captains, and playmakers. Underneath 'view' I think, where you can see other team stuff... then you just drop the big man onto the list. Get him on the back post and knock it across for the little man to give it the eyebrows into the top corner. Marvellous.

How can someone who plays a football game not know what a Target Man is?

Anyway, it simply means someone who your team will be looking to get the ball to as often as possible, whether it be a lone striker or an influential midfielder or whatever.

Vanden Borre will be about 19 now, yes? I think 18 or 19 is a perfectly acceptable age to introduce him to your first team, as he's good enough by then, even if you're a big team. I'm guessing Adu will be about 16/17, so he's not quite ready , so I'd recommend trying to get him loaned out to someone for a season so he gains first team experience. I managed to shove Adu off to some lower division team when I signed him in my Atletico Madrid game, and he came back with much better physical and mental attributes. Once he's 18 and has some first team experience he's ready.

No, once should be enough.

Anyway, if his contract is out in August and you're in June, you should be able to offer for him without fear of having to pay compensation. You should have been able to since the start of the year.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Brilliant service.
Love it, love it, love it!
