Is dangerously addictive, almost impossibly deep, and is a truly marvellous management spectacle.

It is also frustrating beyond words, often truly ridiculous and is a cause of premature mental instability.

I love Football Manager '05

Hmm, 13th with Forest Green at the moment.

Snapped up Regi Blinker and Elliot Ward for a total of about £4,000 in all, though Ward's no where near as good as he was for West Ham this year. Blinker is a legend, though.

We're exremely inconsistent, but hey.

Well, I've been managing England for a few days now since I've got it (I've played it a surprising amount actually).

In some ways it's quite easy - I seem to have done better than Sven in getting England to qualify for the World Cup, automatically qualifying after winning every game and having about +30 goal difference.

But then, in others it's frustratingly hard - despite being technically the better team in almost every way, my U21's and U19's are often struggling for posession. Fortunately, when they do have the posession, they do something with it and manage to win the game more often than not, so it doesn't annoy me much. But really, even if I do play an attacking game with creative freedom, they should, quality difference considered, be able to hold the ball up.

Anyway, good game - any tips for drowning addictions to it?

Same with Fulham in 03/04. Came 3rd and won the Carling Cup.

Then went on to finish 1st in my second season, win the FA Cup, the League Cup and the ECC.

Mainly due to the fact I'd spent ages scouting all the players in my previous games... Cerci, Pletikosa, Roncatto, Adu and some other young studs replaced oldies such as Facundo Sava et al.

Ah well, I'm now 17 points behind Chelsea with Man United, with 4 games in hand. Just got knocked out of both the FA Cup and League Cup... But have an incredibly strong squad. Need some new tic-tacs though...

Thats what Middlesbrough are like, in the first half they'll score a couple of goals and then the other team will just score 3 in the second half.

Finished my first season with palace in 10th and now sitting in 12th after 21 games in the 2nd season.

Not much difference at all! allthough i did have a late surge up the table last season so all hope is not lost! My team can frustating at times..in my last game i went 2-0 up at highbury but lost 3-2!!!!!

Next season looks alot better as i'm getting claudio lopez on a free! His stats are still wicked at 31 and he's got 14 goals in 9 games for his club america this season!

Well, after conquering the world with Liverpool, and the Dutch league with PSV (not too hard really though), I've moved onto my toughest challenge yet...

I am the new manager of Forest Green Rovers.

Apparently, we have "absolutely no chance" of avoiding relegation. Lovely.

Heh, good luck with that.

Bergkamp has just accepted a 2 year contract I offered which is good news, I got him cheap too. He might be old but i've got him for two years so im not bothered and Hasselbaink is shiiiite.

I've decided to play as Scotland.

Should be fun. And impossible.
