Me and a couple of mates had an interesting one, on one of our nights out.

Two of you go up to a couple of girls and say in unison (in drunken voices):

"Do these lovely ladies have names?"

When they reply, say:

"And do these have phone numbers?"

Worked for us. Somehow.

Got both of their phone numbers. And they were both hot.

I can't say i've ever chatted anyone up, but i have found girls trying it with me on rare occassions, if you want them you open up your eyes and you smile gently when they say anything remotely funny or they give you that look.
I can't say i would ever use chatup lines unless they are original and decent, i've not come up with one yet.

er i have to say ive never used a chat up line. Invariably they are lame. I find general convo far more effective with large smatterings of banter.
