And anyone know when their new song is being released?

I had thought about actually going to see them this year, but, until I heard how this one was gonna go, I think my assumptions were quite right about it all.

Too much of By the Way; not enough of their 80s stuff I'd really like to see. But, then again, I guess, I can't be the picky one. In a way, it's like they said; they HAVE to pick many of the newer songs, simply because many of their new and "trendy" fans would be dissapointed to hear them at their very best.

I missed the show on the radio though. I heard the first few songs (up until Get On Top), but missed the rest because I was busy.

What songs did they play, though?
Anything from before Blood Sugar Sex Magik??
Any decent covers? Fire? Search and Destroy? Subterranean Homesick Blues?

And does anyone know when this show will be released on CD? According the Radio One, it will be sometime soon. But, after looking on their website (like they told me to) I couldn't find anything about it.

At least, from what I did hear I know one thing...
John Frusciante is still as great as ever, even if Anthony seems to be a little less "lively".

Wow so it was pretty much Deja vu for them then in London. Exactly the same thing happened, and they had their 99c shields, obviously they were prepared for it then.

You know why the lead singer was tapping together two plaster application thingamajigs?

They were odd.

I thought they deserved the booing, especially when they started shouting back at the crowed, but throwing stuff was out of order. Their handy 99c shields helped out for most of the set tho.

I'm going on Friday.

My mate on Saturday and really hated Chicks on Speed and was glad they got bottles thrown at them. Hopefully I'll have a new supporting band. I'll post about it when I have time.

Yeah if you read my post in General chat (i.e the link) then you would have read we had the same supporting bands. Chicks on speed got bottles thrown at them and had to leave halfway through a song shouting "f***in w***ers London." James Brown on the other hand was quality. his band was amazing especially the baritone saxophonist and overall he was amazing.

Chili's were top stuff as well.

I went to see them in Manchester on Friday. It was a fantastic day, slightly let down by one of the support acts being pants. But at least the chilies were great.
