On the job, (so to speak), that I really disliked.

Some little stringy streak of pigeon crap that had beat 7-bells out of his girl friend. The guy is younger then me, and this is not his first time of doing so. In the past he has done such things as to pour boiling water on her. He hadn’t done that this time. He’s just kicked her in the face, punched her repeatedly and dragged her about by her hair.

In interview I said something along the lines of.

“When reading that statement for the first time I was truly shocked by the savageness of the unprovoked assault, and all from a person who is supposed to love her. However, having taken you through it, you didn’t even raise an eyebrow. Is this because you already knew what we were going to say, because you did all this to her? Or is it because violence towards her from you is so common place that she in fact got off lightly this time?”

Later when I took him back to his cell he said, “did that really shock you?”

I said it did and he just shrugged.

I deal with drunken fools and miscreants all the time, but this guy, I can’t even put my finger on it. There was just something about him. I have never wanted to hit someone so much in my life.

How were your days?

I could kill and dispose of someone for under £1

heavy stick - free
blow to the back of the head - free
lighter fluid - 60p/litre
match - 1p
striking the match and dropping it onto their doused body - free

the rest takes care of itself.

Death's expensive.

Look at how much it costs Texas in appeals and a lengthy process of maximum security type stuff.

Apparently life imprisonment is cheaper, and perhaps a worse punishment.

I slept in got up about 9, got to college about 11, left 15 minutes later. Came home, watched some Futurama, went to work at 3:30. I was told by my manager to slow down yesterday because some people are getting suspicious about how much work some people are doing (we're meant to do roughly 5 cases an hour, I can do about 15-20 no problem) so I took it easy.

Spent a lot of the day trying to guess what American actors this girl liked (her and my mate got into an argument about America being crap, he was trying to name "great Americans" and it went on from there where she gave us clues to who she was thinking of... yes, we were that bored)

8pm came, the under 18s left. Got mocked because, although I'd done 70 cases, more than everyone else, the under 18s have one less hour than us (we work an extra hour each Friday) so, technically, two people beat my score since they'd done almost as many as me but in slightly less time.

I'm told not to work so fast, then laughed at by my manager when I let people beat me... yeah. I hate my job. Totally unappreciated. Never had a day off in 6 months, only been late once (when I was stuck doing some college stuff) and I produce quality work every night. I know the job inside and out, but nobody cares in the slightest, especially my man-hating lesbian manager. We had a new kid in, he's sat right next to me... she got two other people to train him, and actually laughed when my mate asked why I wasn't doing it. Bah.

Got three weeks of leave, might take it all in one go, see the stats for our team plummet by almost 500 a week.

Sadly the death sentence is only availible in a few states of america now, they've reduced it a lot in recent years.

You can only be put to death in England is you commit treason or directly try to murder a member of the royal family. It should be re-introduced for other crimes I think though.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Impressive control panel
I have to say that I'm impressed with the features available having logged on... Loads of info - excellent.
