I applied a few weeks ago and my application was discussed at the meeting of my local freemason lodge on Friday night (ie last night) and I was accepted!

Anyway, yes, there's bound to be someone in your town who is a freemason (there's no big secrecy about membership), just ask them and all will become clear.
