I honestly thought it was easy. We'd done a bunch of trace tables and past papers and they'd all been harder than that!
I said b(i) was the Cache, and b(ii) was a network card. I'm pretty sure about the Network card, but not the Cache...

I got it right, I posted the "How the f**k do you do algorithms?" before the exam. I found the actual algorithm pretty simple.
All you did was:
Set the index and result to zero.
if the result (zero) was less than the index (24), you copied the index into the result. Then did the same again.
So you should've got
24 1
24 2
57 3
57 4

I know, I almost laughed, seriously. The algorithm was purrrrrrfectly easy.
