"Online PS2 game?"

I'm looking for a fairly good online PS2 game but I have a few things i'd like it to feature :

- Some sort of scoreboard.

- Preferbly a shooter.

- Popular, doesn't have to be really popular but i'd like there to be at least a couple of hundred players.


I know there aren't alot of great online PS2 games and most of them aren't very popular but I know there are some really good ones out there so could you give me some games then i'll go and read a few reviews, watch some videos etc to see if I like it.

Here are 3 games i'd like your opinions on :

Killzone

THUG 2

Call of Duty

Remember I only want to know what you think about the online modes, nevermind the single player modes.

I got my USB keyboard for a fiver at my local computer market.

Without comms is pretty annoying but without a keyboard just drives me insane. Almost everyone on THUG 2 has a Keyboard except me, there are some tight ass players online, i'm nothing compared to them.

EDIT | I've actually decided NOT to get a keyboard now because they're pretty damn expensive seeing as i'm only gonna use it for this game. The online mode is great but I think i'm just gonna have to deal with having no keyboard. I play offline more than online so I guess it makes sense.

I had it when i used to do nights at the post office, imagine how empty it was at 6 in the morning :-D

lol i hated everquest for ps2 i didnt even get out of the first place befor i quit it was soooo empty and boring

Everquest didn't have it either if i remember correctly and as i didn't have a USB keyboard at the time it made chatting to others in game a chore. Took about a half a minute just to say hello

No voice chat?

I'm not too keen on the online play, theres alot of weird people on there. But the way they've done the online mode is amazing, one of the most structured PS2 online games i've ever seen. Theres no lagg what-so-ever, you can take a picture of your face with a mobile and send it to your PS2 so you can use your own face, you can download other people's custom parks, you can make your own parks, you can make you own tags and go around the whole park spraying it everywhere, theres so much to do!

Even though there are no comms I still really like the online mode and how it works, but theres a few wierd people on there.

How crap. An online game that doesn't support voice comms?
