I suggested barcodes too but probably not for the reason you said it. If you look at most barcodes it has 2 sets of 6 numbers and 6 lines longer than the others, i.e 666. Also if you had a barcode on your hand that would be an actual mark whereas a chip wouldnt.
Just a thought, but basically nobody knows (and most dont even care)

So your saying the definition of a mark is a chip injucted under the skin. Sorry but that doesnt seem that obvious to me. If your mate draws on you with a pen then thats a mark. If you get a tatoo then thats a mark. If you get a chip implanted under your skin, well thats completely different.
So, hang on, it's the obvious way, not the definite way?
Actually the Mark of the Beast, is described as being just that; a 'mark'. We are told of people being forced to recieve this mark in their body, thus a chip is the obvious way the Mark of the Beast will be implemented.
