Both of these bands changed the face of rock music, and produced some classic albums- Nirvana's 'Nevermind' is seen as one of the most influential albums ever, and Metallica's 'Master of Puppets' is often regarded as the best heavy metal album ever recorded. Deny rock and metal if you must, but remember that they are very popular and musically far stronger than pop or (c)rap.
