I myself have become a big GTA fan, particularly of Vice City. I suddenly thought to myself the other day, why do I like it? I mean look at the state of it, especially the latest installment San Andreas. The graphics are beyond crap, it is very glitchy and the gameplay can be very awkward.

I took a step back and realised that it is a combination of some very shoddy core elements held together by the less important things. The huge free-roaming element doesn't really compensate any more because it simply isn't the novelty it used to be. So please, why the hell is it still considered to be better than God?

If Rockstar don't do it, somebody else will.

There's already something in the works on the PC - I posted a link a few weeks ago.

A split screen co-op would kick more ass than Lee. Imagine driving round the map and then venturing upon one of your mates having a freeway shootout with the local Fuzz. Or else you could dogfight in jets. Possibilities are endless.

A co-op would work as long as it was split screen. Having the two players on the same screen as we saw in San Andreas seriously limits the distance the players can travel apart.

Another option of course would be to do a co-op with online play. I can see that being a big hit.

Are you aware that this option is available in San Andreas?

San Andreas sure as hell hasn't lasted long for me. I completed it two weeks after getting it and have only played it a dozen or so times since. GTA 3 and Vice City held my attention for as long as it took for the next one to be released.
