the old music to the new crap

Late 80's and early-late 90's.

Late 80's - Very early 90's (say up to '93) You've got the great electronic music before it became cliched and were forced into cookie cutter genres.

ALL - You've got an explosion of varied rock and metal, combining loads of new influences and ideas and doing away with a lot of the tiresome plodding crap that metal was drowning in.

All good enough reasons to hate the 90's!!! Apart from Nirvana.

I must say, '03 / '04 have been damn fine years for musical genius (so far.)

Although a bit of 80's rock is always nice.

And the "00s" are producing some great new bands. The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, Keane, Coldplay...

90s = Best of Nirvana, Blur, Oasis, Pulp, Ocean Colour Scene, Supergrass, Manic Street Preachers, Radiohead, Ash, Counting Crows, early Stereophonics, Feeder, Green Day etc

Plus the best bands from the 80s (U2, REM, Chilis IMO) released some of their best material in the 90s.

And Take That.

Hmmm....Indie was OK...but only early 90's so it just scrapes in.

I love indie.

late 80's, early 90's was a golden age for indie.

lol...Give one good reason to think 90's music was any good.....
