Is it really worth it?

This topic is really for those at uni. Who's moved away and who hasn't? Whats your uni accomodation like?

I lived at my Uni for the first year, but then lived at home and took the train in from then on. It works out far cheaper living at home, plus I have other attachments. Most of my mates at Uni travel in too, so I doubt I'd sample the nightlife there, and I doubt I'd get as much work done.

What's Liverpool like as a town? I'm going to see Leicester this weekend, then Liverpool next month, also Leeds want me to go for an interview, do you think Liverpool wins hands down, or is it a bit 'common'?

For GOD'S sake, don't stay at home for uni!!!

I went away to Leicester for my law degree, and much though I loathed the course, I had a fantastic time away. It broadened my mind far more than it would have done had I stayed in the comfort of home. I was just as lost and at sea as everyone else living away from home for the 1st time. Then I had the joys of having my arrogant certanties challenged and demolished. This was, with hindsight, a good thing cos it taught me the value of researching and thinking about ones beliefs in order to win arguments, and humility in case I didn't.
