I want to use special reserve to register and maintain a website with.

This will primarily be for placing programming demos on the internet for me to show to emplyers, of work I have done on the PC and PS2. The main aim is to help me get a job.

Do I need to have freeola to get the free web hosting??

I have a blueyonder modem, and don't want to purchase something I can't use.

Is this service available to those without a freeola connection, the website doesn't seem particularly clear on the matter.

Since you are with Telewest, I think it is true to say that GetDotted and Freeola would not be the best solution for you.

However, everyone has a choice and as you are probably aware, there are more than a few domain hosting companies and ISP's out there.

There are also more than a few very satisfied customers of GetDotted and Freeola who enjoy ad-free web space and a host of our other features so I think it is unfair to slate our service considering our age and experience in a market dominated by fly by night eejits who take your money and run.

You guys are the customers - you take the choice that works for you.

Phi11ip.com came from Getdotted when they were marginally OK.

I'm moving the domain away soon, just when I get around it.

And I just got what you were implying with that game comment. I thought you were being sarcastic and having a go at me.

if you are asking my opionion i would say...

one that has only came out so you can sell it and buy 2 cheaper ones on ebay that are just as good...

or maybe:

PS2 = hitman contracts
PC = battlefeild : vietnam

or if you meant something else make it clearer.

I've know hes be moderator/administrator on Staghost for ages. When I frist went there and they were still doing subdomains I seem to remeber he was on the forums.

I would use staghosting.

If i could make websites.

Staghosting are not dodgy and there is no catch. I used them myself and only moved because someone paid for a host somewhere else as part-payment for a (crap) website I did for them.
