It's been mentioned a couple of times before, and upon looking at the vast amounts of poems and short stories flooding this forum because there is nowhere else to get an intelligent reply is amazing. I think it may be time for a "Creative Writing Forum", where all poetry and writing of sorts can go. Obviously we are to give the staffies time, they are understandably drowning with work at present, but I am hoping for a forum of this sort in the near future. So...discuss my monkey slaves.

If there's a creative writing forum then it should be primed.
Personally, I think this forum should be primed.

The only newbie I've EVER seen make a decent thread in here was Forest Fan.
The rest are generally poor one liners - spam.

I mean, newbies could still post, but just not start topics.

I am going a bit fascist lately though.
I want the Nintendo forum primed as well. :-)

The Jat's and Newbies can have General Chat! :-D

Yes, I think there is. If you take the amount of posting here today and split it in half you come out with around 160 posts a piece. That is a lot more than Sport, Nintendo, FOG Prime, and many more. I think this, and other aspects justify the division and creation of a Creative Writing forum.

I cried when they took the story forum from us but understood their reason for doing it - it was rarely used.

The only reason that there are so many stories populating this forum at the moment is because of the huge success of the story competition. Personally I cannot see this lasting and interest / posting of stories on mass will die down, especially once the summer arrives.

If they re-introduce the story forum and the interest does die down then it will propably suffer the same fate as it's predecessor.

I'm all for another story forum being introduced though, maybe they could just dig the old one out of the archives and reinstate it as a forum you can post in.

I know, but I want to check if this applies to most other creative writers, as I think that on the whole this forum is at least made up half and half when it comes to Creative Writing and Relevant Disscussion at the moment. After some feedback I will probably end up pitching this one to the staffies as I consider it to be a worthy addition.

This has already been mentioned a couple of times recently in different threads. You may get a more positive response if you posted it in the customer service forum.
