With the season coming to a close, i believe that a few players in particular deserve a hearty congrats for the work, attitude or performances throughout the season. Lots of dream teams, worst XI and unrecognised XI are concocted. but this is the thread that ties them all in together, to pick your personal faves from this season.

Bias towards your team would be plesantly received.

I think

stead
henry
pires
toure
parker
terry
lampard
bergkamp
yakubu
shearer
saha
howard
solano
angel
okocha
nolan
smith
robinson
james
defoe
keane
forsell
cunnigham
taylor
camara
rae
duff
jensen
fortune

are a few. there are definitely more...

sorry

*adds to list*
"forlan: for such masterful pieces of skill, never seen before. the name no-one will forget. seems to get so many chances to parade his talent.

there we go.

good post by the don too. couple of guys who have been right on the money this season.

as for van der vaart... he's too good. it'll take big, BIG money to get him away from ajax. (still don't know how they keep churning out young stars?)

yeah, except for that brilliance crap

he's done amazingly for Badger's side this year.

that 2 year contract must be written on a piece of bog roll then.

just no.

not one of the driving forces of boltons midfield then.

brilliant saves for city. he's been there best player for weeks.

you are joking now.

forgot him. a season of great progress.

as for michael brown. he's just looked powerless in midfield. hasn't shown any of his special form yet.

Oh yes an utter complete flop for United, what is it? 6 goals in 8 games now? Obviously being a Spurs fan you don't know the job of a striker is to put the ball in the net not blaze it into row Z every time they get the chance

Alex Rae has certainly impressed me - the amount of goals and his overall ability - he has certainly tried his hardest in ensuring Wolves stay up - even though they didn't.

Erm didn't you see today's game just showed you how consistent Lehmann has been technically SUPERB has a bit of a tempramental problem but otherwise he's a top class keeper and it showed today.
Also Toure is not 'having a laugh' he is the most improved player in our team this season and he's been a solid all round defender this season.

stead - Had a great end of season, considering where he came from and has scored some vital goals. Top marks, and I will be watching out, he is a definate prospect for the future.

henry - Well, what can I say? By far the greatest footballer in the world currently, and that's coming from a Spurs fan! He ahs everything, speed, a great shot, improvisation. Everything a striker could want, although for his heaight, I would like to see him score some mroe headers.

pires - Had a good seaosn,. but I reckon it'll all be downhill from here for this man. Him and Henry work well together, gifting eachother goals, but he isn't getting any younger...

toure - Are you joking me? He doesn't deserve to be on here

parker - Had a great season at Charlton, where he really stood out against the less good players. However at Chelsea, he now only seems moderate, due to the class players around him, especially lampard next to him. He is overshadowed, however has had a good season.

terry - JT. He must surely be in the England squad at least, in my oppinion he's better than Sol. He, unlike Sol, has speed and is rather agile. Had a great season and deserves his captaincy.

lampard - If Henry wasn't so f**king amazing, he would be my player of the season by a mile. What more is there to say other than he is incredible?

bergkamp - prfft, poor season

yakubu - Misses too many chances

shearer - For someone his age, he's had a blinder of a season. Howeverm surely his time is up, but a great season to end on (if he is retiring).

saha - For me he has had a very poor season, and has been an utter flop for United. Was good for Fulham last year.

howard - What a buy. And for such little money too. Is surely the second best goalie around after Carlo, and has had a blinder between the sticks for Man Utd.

solano - ahaahahahaha you are a fool

angel - Had a good season, then again so have Villa.

okocha - I am a huge fan of this man and he has everything a midfielder should have, oh except goals :p. Something like 120 shots on target without a single goal this season. Brilliant, so fun to watch.

nolan - next

smith - How can you say he's had a good season? He's done nothing, still a brilliant player though.

robinson - Coming to Spurs, woohoo. Good goalie, not the best of seasons but what can you expect playing at Leeds?

james - Had a poor season in my books, done nothing special for me at all.

defoe - Hehehe now for the really decent players :p. He's been a star for us. nto so muchr ecently,. but it was due to him that we had our brilliant spell after christmas, moving us up 8 places. Cheers son, great buy.

keane - Consistently bloody brilliant, not only at scoring goals but at making them too. He holds the ball up so well and is really quick, I imagine he;s a nightmare to defend against. Damn good job he plays FOR us then.
forsell - Been brilliant for Birmingham, and has single handedly got them where they are. Love to see him sign permanently for them, Chelsea would really lose out, and it would do Birmingham a world of good.

cunnigham - or not

taylor - as above

camara - and again

rae - getting boring

duff - Shouldn't he be with teh other Chelsea players? Been brilliant, what more is there to say?

jensen- nope

fortune - He's been bloody awful all season, please say you're joking.

A few I think should be in:

Ronaldo: Has been brilliant and I love watching him play. He's so predictable, yet so un-predictable at the same time. And he improves every game. One for the future, one day he will be as good as Beckham ever was there.

Lehmann - I would just like to thank him for a whole season of pure comedy.

For Spurs: I'd like to say thanks to (yes you guessed it) 'my lover' Michael Brown. He has been outstanding for us., even if he has only popped one away. His gritiness and determination see him as a great battler in midfield. He's still got a way to go, but I;m confident he will get there.

Kanoute - Wow I'd like to thank you for being amazing, then f**king off to Mali and coming back sh!te!

Taricco - You've kept the red cards down to a minimum.

Last of all: Pleat - Well done sir, single handedly you have ruined our team. First of all, King is a bloody defender, not a midfielder. everyone has been saying that we have a poor defence, that's because you're playing our best defender in midfield!!! Hurry the hell up and get us a new manager

Phwoar, I'm tired now
