my point was that rangers have to qualify (and even if not) they still only get one group stage worths of games. he should have stayed at auxerre, to wait for a better club. he should have gone to a better club than rangers.

Rangers are guaranteed CL football every season, while in the French leauge Auxerre are down in 5th.

For a start, I think you can complete forget about that waste-of-space Pingu-Pongolle! And when was the last time Milan Baros did anything special? Granted, he has his good points, but I can't see him holding a starting role at a top 5 Premier League team - especialy if he isn't gonna get any half-decent service. And that's why Harry Kewell should stick to playing out-wide on the left (and so, that's 3 equations solved).

While Cissé's is practicaly in a Liverpool shirt already, I still don't know about Kezman... Would he rather play for Houllier at Anfield rather than somewhere in Spain or Italy? Providing, of course, Arsénal keep-quiet now that Bergkamp's signed a new deal and that United get their hands on Alan Smith... But, let's just pretend he does sign for you....

With a French international in your side, that's one done for you already! And, with his arrival comes the inevitable departure of another; giving you Owen and Cissé upfront, Kezman on the bench and Milan Baros as the fourth-choice where he more likely belongs.

See, this is what happens when you only skim-read posts. (or, "speed-read", as I call it...)

I didn't see the name Jean-Alain Boumsong; knowing already he had agreed to join Rangers on a free several weeks ago. Like with the Heskey transfer out of Anfield, I thought you were talking about Philippe Mexés (who could be going in). :P

Sorry. It's not my arrogance that blinds me, just my shifty-eyes... ;I

Heskey blows hot and cold though, in some games he will play like a world class player but in others pretty damn poor - he needs consistancy if he's to hang on to that forward position but with Cisse likely to be coming to 'pool I can't see it happening.

I think Saturday's game at St Andrews just proves my point...

didn't hear that boumsong had gone. he was top class talent aswell. he would've been relatively well suited to the prem. he'll screw it up at 'gers though. should've stayed at a champs league club.

I want us to keep Heskey though...

Which leaves a problem. Assuming we get Kezman and Cisse, our manager has to pick two (three at the very most) from Michael Owen, Emile Heskey, Milan Baros, Florent Sinama Pongolle, Djibril Cisse and Mateja Kezman. Oh, and Harry Kewell also likes playing up there too.

Now I'd love to have a selection of world class strikers like that, but how can we keep them all happy?

Your arrogance blinds you.

Boumsong has already signed for Rangers on a pre-contract, so you're wrong in one instance.

And Celtic are a bigger team than Birmingham/pretty much anyone else who would take Heskey, so don't rule out him signing for Celtic either.
