I agree with most of them. However:

- Ruud Van Nistelrooy - I don't think he's had a great season to be honest.
- Lauren - Wtf. Scored a stunning own goal though, it must be said.
- Howard - I don't think he's been that good. I'd go for Lehmann definitely. Ha. Jaaskelainen, Niemi, or maybe Hislop.....Nah
- Cole - Nothing to do with who is a better player at all, but I think Bridge has had a better season than him.

Thoughts?

[Edit: Given's been pretty good]

I don't know how, but Middlesbrough always seem to end up with a brilliant defensive record - no different this year.

In fairness he made some amazing saves that game too, so I'll let him off.

We'll ignore his complete c*ck up in the carling cup final to let Kevin Davies score then....

When I was making my team of the season - I couldn't think of one goalkeeper who has really performed well. I was going to choose Carlo Cudicini, but he hasn't played enough, the Liverpool goalies usually play well but not this season and Tim Howard has sloped off while other 'keepers haven't really made much of an impact. So I went for the Aussie. :D

Robert scored like 4 amazing goals this year. All could have been contenders for goal of the season. He is a quality player.

I think it was a bad season for goalkeepers really... There were no keepers that stood out, Lehmann was crap, Cudicini was injured, Howard wasn't a regular, Robinson had a rubbish team in front of him etc... But of the goalkeepers who played regularly this season, Given was one of the best.

get a job,

whilst i agree parker shouldn't have won it, i suspect the board were making amends for not giving it to him last year, cristiano ronaldo is pretty pants at the mo. in time he will improve and not be a little diver, but nowhere near yp of the year.

As far I'm concerned only 2players should have ad a shot and that was terry, with wright phillips runner up.
