Today I was rolling back with my memory, and I became completely 100% sure that there is going to be a fourth matrix movie, if any of you remembers, this is what neo said at the end of The Matrix 1:
"I know you're out, there I can feel you now, I know that you are afraid, you're afraid of us, you're afraid of change, I don't know the future, I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end, I came here to tell you how it's going to begin, I am going to hang up this phone, and then I am going to show these people what you don't want them to see, I am going to show them a world without you, a world without rules and control, without borders or boundries, a world were anything is possible, where we go from there, is a choice I leave to you "
And while he was talking, the Matrix code was rolling, then it stopped, with the word "system failure" written on it, now as far as I know, at the end of revolutions all what they did was to save Zion, but the people who were still plugged into the matrix weren't saved, because the matrix still exists, in addition, the these were the exact words of Morpheus to Neo: "The one is going to return and inhale the destruction of the matrix" not just save Zion, but "Destroy The Matrix", this is the prophecy, so The Matrix 4 is going to be about destroying the matrix. Does anyone disagree ?

Please tell me which scene was that, was it in reloaded or revolutions ? I don't remember it.

I like the sequals too, and I watched the subtitles, but I've only seen it once in the cinema, you know, it's just been released in Egypt last Wednesday.

By the way the Trace Program in question is the program the Machines use to hack phone lines and attain the locations of the caller. It featured at the start of the Matrix as well - where Trinity was discovered. Presumably the trace to find where Neo was calling from failed as he had the power to override the system.

Cubist,

The reason there was such a large gap between The Matrix and reloaded + revolutions is because Warner refused to provide a budget for all three films at the start, instead allowing the Wachowskis to produce the first film on its own. After seeing the phenomenal success of The Matrix, they poured money into the project and both reloaded and revolutions were shot consecutively.

As for another Matrix film, it is definitely possible. The Wachowkis are establishing an entire Matrix 'world' through the movies, games, animé cartoons, comic strips and websites. I think it will be their intent to create the Matrix legacy where after them, other people can continue the story, through any medium.

Yarr.

But, unlike a lot of people, I actually enjoyed the sequels. So I guess I was inclined to take more notice at the films' subtleties.

I think there could be a 4th Matrix film just as Cusack says justified exactly how Cusack said it. However there was a LONNNNNNNNNNNNG time period between The Matrix and the sequals. I think they just said half that stuff to sound all inspiring and deep. I don't think they had planned it so they could make a fourth movie with the destruction of The Matrix. I'm really not sure if I want it either. I mean the fights scenes have just gotten more and more insanely ellaborate with each passing movie. At least before you could sort of admire the stunt choreography and so on and the effects where there just to make you go "Wow!" but now it's all about the effects and it's just not as good. If they made a 4th one all about destroying the matrix I'd suspect there'd be a lot of that and it really isn't my thing.

The Oracle's role in Smith's obliteration and deletion was to ensure that his over confidence (from his vision that the newly absorbed Oracle gave him) would make him fight Neo mano on mano. If all the Smiths attacked Neo they'd have defeated him. Thus at the end of the fight the Oracle, through Smith, spoke the words "every beginning has an end" and this convinced Neo to let Smith copy on to him.

You should write a book explaining what was happening in those Matrix films. I wish someone would.
