Sony win hands down. Better consoles, more up to date marketing attracting more gamers, not just kiddies, and definitely a larger variety of gameplay, with better graphics, FMV easily accessible and adding to the enjoyment of games, cheaper products, better peripherals, and a larger userbase.

Well I got a Playstation instead of N64 but then I will get a GC and a GBA but not a Playstation2 so they are equal!

Listen - Sony haven't done ANYTHING for the real good of the games industry, they brought out a console and people develope for it. And you say Sont is for all ages...so is Nintendo...Perfect dark, Conker.....Mario Rayman...Just because Nintendo haven't published a ton of crappy games just to up the number doesn't mean they are less of a company.....look and the videogames.com reviews section, the N64 is the only console with a 90%+ rating, all the reviews of PS2 games on the TV program Game Over have been 80% and below except SSX, people will realise, as you will FM that Nintendo are doing it right, Sony are all graphics and all money, Nintendo have pure gameplay and fun games for all ages...Sony couldn't muster an ounce of innovation to save the company....The Playstation 2 is meerly a name, it might be strong on the top but it has a foundation made of pig shitee and it is about to collapse any moment.....I t you that this christmas in the States that Nintendo GBA and Gamecube sales exceed Playstation One 2 and X-Box and Dreamcast sales all in one, people are realising that Nintendo have got the fire power and know-how to make the industry a success...
You say that in the future it will be X-Box Vs Playstation2.....I think not, obviously that is a complete bias opinion.....Nintendo have got loads of third party developers returning maybe even Square...Microsoft have got Sega....everyone has suddely sparked a ton of inteest in the X-Box because it is set to have sega games...what a joke, the GBA and Gamecube will as well, load of companies are favouring the GC to the XB, enix and Capcom are just two of them.....Nintendo will have all the playstation types games, Sega type games and X-Box types games bar a few PLUS al the nintendo games, pokemon games, Zelda, DK, Perfect Dark, Too Humnan, Conker, Banjo, Mario...need I go on.....DVD and all that crap doesn't matter, the N64 is faster than the PS2, there are no loading times...nothing....wait util the Gamecube comes out....the Playstation will be Obliterated and Microsoft won't know what has hit them....isn't just a duplo buliding block you know...there is more power in that thing that the PS2, better games will run on it than do on the Ps2, it will have 15 +/- more years experince than the X-Box......YOU MUST HAVE HAD ONE TAP ON THE HEAD TOO MANY MY LAD...because there is nothing to suggest that Nintendo can't pull this off.....Big PS2 user base...Pah who cares Nintendo have done it to Sega before, I don't think the, bad reputation - hard to develop-for, looks like a freakin' radiator PS2 or the Let's all break the bank X-Box will have much of an effect on the success of the Gamecube.

If I wanted to play retro games I'd get a GBA, but the fact is I used to have a SNES years ago and apart from one or two games I don't see the point in forking out for a GBA when I've got both a DC and a PSX already, what would be the point?
I have no use for a GBA, simple as that. It can't offer me better games, better graphics and holds no interest whatsoever for me. It will also signal the demise of the Gameboy in the future, and Nintendo are really pinning a lot of hope on future compatibility between the GBA and the Gamecube to be a major selling feature.
I don't see the point. If I have a console at home, and have no use for a handheld, even if Sega relaunched the Gamegear over here like they have in the US for $29, I wouldn't get one because I have no need for it.
Nintendo are welcome to the title 'King of the Handheld', but as to advancing games themselves and offering great gameplay, Sony still win.
