Every gamer in the world has there favorite company, every gamer in the world has there favorite console, but no gamer in the world knows what is going to happen, and that is the sad truth, I personally wish I could know what was going to happen, but I don't. The Games industry is one of the most unpredictable in the world, companies can lose millions in a day because something didn't sell, I don't want to make predictions for such a market, it is just too easy to get the predictions wrong.
If being a gamer for 13 years has taught me anything, it is that you should expect the unexpected.
You or I can't guess what will happen, as all it will be is a guess, tommorrow Nintendo could can the GC and concentrate on the handheld market, oh yeah that probably won't happen, and yeah Nintendo may hold the Royal Flush in there hands at the moment, but hear those words 'at the moment'

It's ironic that you should say that because they said it was one of the best games they'd played in a long while.
Anyway, even N64 said that it wasn't perfect!
"Japanese groups warn Microsoft

Japanese software developers are warning Microsoft that unless it improves marketing and distribution of the X-Box game console, it could alienate local consumers.
Game makers and retailers are worried that the US software group has not invested enough in Japanese advertising or devoted enough attention to distribution channels to generate significant sales.
The concerns are likely to cast a shadow over Microsoft's presentation at the Tokyo Game Show, when Bill Gates, chairman, is expected to unveil his strategy for gaming in Japan.
Winning over Japanese software makers, who rank among the largest in the world, is crucial for Microsoft as it faces Sony's PlayStation2 on its home turf.
Lisa Spicer, analyst at ING Barings, said Microsoft would need the backing of local software companies to make X-Box a success in Japan. Although most big Japanese games groups are believed to be developing software for X-Box, only Konami, which is working on about 10 titles, has publicly voiced its support for the machine.
"It is going to be tough," said one senior industry executive. "We have been urging them to promote the machine aggressively, but they are too stubborn."
Microsoft officials explained their strategy for X-Box to Japanese software industry executives at a conference in a Tokyo hotel. But some left dissatisfied.
They argue that Microsoft's decision to centralise distribution of the machine and games through Happinet, a subsidiary of Bandai, the toymaker, and the software distribution arm of Softbank, the internet investment group, is unfair.
"All the orders will be processed through Happinet and Softbank, including sales, inventory and sale price. This means that the software retailers will have to show their business information to the competition and this is not good," said one industry executive. Happinet also has a retail network.
Software retailers have suggested that Microsoft supply the games directly to the stores, according to this person.
Microsoft said that concerns about marketing were unfounded, as it was not possible to discuss specific titles. "We do not believe we are at the point where we need to start marketing yet. We will do it when the time is right."

Not much to worry about there then, apart from the retailers who are so eager to sell the X-Box that they are getting grumpy about not being able to sell it because Microsoft have already signed an exclusive distribution deal.
And Microsoft seem unconcerned as well, so I don't really see a problem here.

Atleast it means that if Digitiser likes it then it must be good. They're more cynical than Sniper!
I'm checking that FT article mentioned earlier now...
