Well I guess that other thread got lost while changing servers. So here's a new one for Manga fans to say what films/series's they like, and people should watch!

A few days ago i got region 1 dvds of:
Powerstone Vol 1, pretty good and quite faithful to the game. Nice animation and good action.

Panda Go Panda, really cutesy anime (one of Hayao Miyazaki's earlier ones before Totoro, Kiki etc)
About a little girl and her adventures with a daddy & baby panda (good one for the whole family)
Has anyone got "Gasaraki"??? If so is it any good?

Davey just out of interest how come you still call in manga? Not having a go at your or anything, ^_^ Everyone was guilty of saying at one time, but then Manga Entertainments left and ADV became the bigger company releasing far more animes than Manga Entertainments.
That's why when you look on UK websites like eBay, Yahoo etc, they all have anime sections now which is great ^_-
There's an anime convention soon in Southampton, then another anime convention in September I think. Then another next year. Then there's that new anime club starting in a month or so. Then there's a new anime company on the internet doing UK anime chatrooms/forums etc.
Hopefully one year we'll get the anime channel and radio station. Yay lots of animes to watch and lots of mangas to read.

I also suggest any LupinIII titles.

Davey, try finding 'My Neighbour Totoro' and 'Kiki's Delivery Service', both A+ anime films.
And i noticed you'd only seen Patlabor 2, you really should watch the original, amazing film (the t.v series is coming out on dvd in the U.S too, the first one is already out)
I can't remember if 'Cowboy Bebop' was on your list, but it is the best anime series i have EVER seen, and you should own it if you have an all region dvd player.

what is great about manga is the story lines.
Fist of the north star, yes its gorey (excellent fights) but what an ending.
ken walks across the world to find julia and never does and keeps on going .excellent.
Wind of amnesia should be made into a film, its a very western idea (the whole world loses its memory because aliens deem were to much of a threat to our selves and other inhabitants and through the actions of one boy there may be hoper for us yet...).

Akira i can understand that not many people like it that have never watched manga. Its the one that started it all the one that the sparked the wests interest and so many manga watchers like to promote this a lot, its basically a very heavy sci-fi,technopunk film.
Dc-dvd.net has a huge list of manga but a little pricy and dvdboxoffice.com has lots of cheap ones albeita slightly smaller collection
