How much do you charge to build a PC for someone?

Just out of interest.

Your PC shop will only charge £50 if you buy all of the parts from them.

The £100 figure will be if you supply all the parts yourself, where they lose the profit from the components.

I used to work in a computer shop, that's how these things work.

its not that easy just to get all the parts and to bang them together.
the heatsink takes 5 min to fit on a good day 1 min with screwdriver.
not that i would use a screwdriver in any of your pcs. he he he.

don't buy from them they will force the R.A.M into the CD drive!

Er, I built my PC in about 2 hours.

And that was because I was taking my time.

you waste alot of time finding all the components and fitting them well thats the easy bit. except from heatsinks they will force me into insanity those clumsy too tight peice of scrap.

not that theres anything wrong with SR's ram fitting but, i would fit any RAM for £2 SAVE £5 lol.

There's a few threads below going on about graphics cards, have a look there.

The names aren't exactly the most helpful though so you'll have to read that actual topic.
