If it were finished I would stay on. Sure GAD and FAD make it more interesring but this is one of the most popular discussions I go on the net.

I complained a lot before you did about the winner chosen before people who work and go to school could have a chance!

But did anyone listen? Nope!

So don't take all the credit!

I am always amused when people complain that only the new guys are winning gameaday, and then a few months later there are similar complaints that only the regulars are winning.

It's for the best post of the day, regardless of who posts it.

But, yeah, I hope it goes on for a long time to come. We certainly get some odd characters here because of it.

In the original Gameaday terms and conditions, there used to be an end date to the competition which was around this time.

However, I have a sneaky suspicion that the marketing exercise became so popular that they just removed the end date and let us carry on regardless, so in theory Gameaday will continue as long as it continues to provide SR's site with good reviews, good discussion content and good cheats.

Same goes for Filmaday, but Filmaday methinks could do with a bit more support in the forum and on the reviews, as only a few of the regulars post there and it's very slow moving compared to the FOG.

However, as a nice incentive, Happy started a World's Longest Thread there the other day, and you are all cordially invited to contribute.

Even should Gameaday and Filmaday be finished one day, I think that the forums have enough regulars and reviewers who would continue regardless to post, but the post count would drop and we'd lose a big incentive for newcomers to the site.

So I think it will continue for a good while yet.
