I have not yet seen this film. And actually I am not sure that I will.

However my friend saw it Sunday, and when I questioned him on it, he replied with this:

"Don't read the bible, it ruins the ending."

Genius.

I'm still laughing at it.

And I'm a Christian....

I really recommend watching it, but only the once. I don't think I'll ever see it again. It needs to be seen though.. it's a really beautiful film, even though 70% of it is just gore.

This wasnt a post about my views on the film or beliefs, by the way.

Just telling you the quote from my friend. Which even though I am a christian, I still found ti hilarious.

Yeah I'm not sure whether I'll see it. I do tend to be a bit squeamish, although that seems to have got better in the last few years... And I'm not sure if I want to see it. In some ways I think it would help me, but I'm still not sure.

It guilt trips you into being a good christian by showing you how bad the death of jesus was. You should do what that guy below says and follow your own ideas, Jesus teachings were meant as a guide.

If I make a movie based on some religious yarn can I make fun of black people? I wanted to use another word there but filter has spoken.

this movie was made to show the pain that he went through.
but theyve made some basic errors.
Jesus was black,
the guards would not be speaking latin,
they would be speaking greek because it was in the
east he was crucified.

I was baptised and am protestant...apparently however I have become an aethiest(sp?). Every now and then though I do think some supernatural things are real so I guess that doesn't make me a true aethiest(sp?). Anyway the point is. It doesn't matter what religion you are. All that matters is your dedication to it. As long as you're not a fanatic you'll be able to appreciate at least some of this movie.
