I have not yet seen this film. And actually I am not sure that I will.

However my friend saw it Sunday, and when I questioned him on it, he replied with this:

"Don't read the bible, it ruins the ending."

Genius.

I'm still laughing at it.

And I'm a Christian....

Nope, that's one thing Historians can't disagree on. There are historical texts and evidence that prove the existance of Jesus and the fact that he was crucified for saying he was the son of god.

Whether he was the son of god is anyone's guess, but his existance is fact and so is the crucifixion..

History if you're Christian, Catholic or whatever. The bible doesn't describe a whole lot of how jesus died "The Passion" is a play type thing they performed back in the day (don't ask me for a date) to incite people against Jews.

And so have you.

Jesus was from Judea, and would have looked like anyone else from around there- not black, tanned.

If they had been recruited from Italy they would have. The Roman army was made up of people from all over the empire, so it is likely that they were from the Roman homeland of Italy and spoke Latin.

The middle east. :P

How is he making fun of Jews?

It sticks to the historical texts. The Jews crucified Jesus, it's not anti-sematic, it's history.
