Well I got her number... how do you like DEM apples?

So, what's going on? It's Friday night, and for some reason I'm in my house at half 10. Granted, I just got in from work less than an hour ago, but still, I'm 19, not 90. Ah well.

Work was... different. My mate Andrew's monitor hasn't been working, so he moved next to me (the usual girl was off) but then our mate James complained that we'd ignore him so I moved next to him, so we were in more of a triangle sort of shape (no threesome jokes, please) James and I talked and had a laugh, Andrew felt left out (it's usually me that's left out because of the seating arrangements) so did loads of work (he's normally the "chatty" one)

8pm came, time for the under 18s to leave. For some reason two of us "senior team members" left too (probably on leave) so there were only three of us, including myself and the girl I like (she usually sits with myself, Andrew and James, but sat elsewhere so I had her seat, and her crappy keyboard with the dodgy delete key) but not including our manager and the new girl who's doing "intensive training".

So we all moved together and I did my usual trick of drawing cartoons and making her laugh. First time art has come in handy, since my usual wit seems to be off target with her most of the time. Ah well, if you don't like the swings you've got the roundabout, or however the old saying goes...

So the three of us had a chat about why men suck. Well, they said it, and being the only lad there I sort of had to agree. They made some valid points, but I also mentioned how most of what we do we only do because we're trying to second guess them (yes means no, maybe means yes and so on) More cartoon drawing (if I could be bothered I'd scan them in, but I can't draw very well and you wouldn't get most of the jokes, plus she keeps the best ones) and more chatting until 9pm. And I got her number. Hence the title. So walked out with her, I headed home to be sad and go online and maybe watch Alien while she's going home to get drunk with her friend and moan some more about why men suck. Woo ha. Anyway, gonna text her later (I finally found my mobile, I lost it back in November... it was behind my bed along with about thirty socks) see what happens. Normally I wouldn't be so eager, usually I play it cool, but since she'll be drunk I can probably make her laugh. Which is nice.

So what are YOU lot doing here at this time? You should all be out drinking, or if reading this tomorrow, nursing a hang over. Shame on us all...

Of course you do, Stryke. Everyone wants to be me or be with me. Because I'm special. Ahem...

I find Family Guy is great for random one-liners, whereas Futurama stays consistent the whole way through. Also, it's work watching the commentary on each episode- Billy West, David X Cohen and John DiMaggio are hilarious.

Me neither, but its still damned funny, probably moreso than Futurama, yet the storyline of any sort wears awfully thin.

it's a good series, but it never really 'gripped' me, like the simpsons or futurama did.

what about ren and stimpy?

The Futurama boxsets are great. As is Family Guy, even though they cost me around £25-£30 each... Damn that.
