Well what other kind of games are there around to develop on in the future not really many I guess.
Sports - Fifa year in year out - they even brought out Cricket if thats not running low on sport games ideas what is?
History - History? some of you may say. All the games like Age of Empires 2, Caesar, WW2 games all running low on ideas soon, you can't really make up the past can you?
Racing - All you do is go round a track and all they can do in future is update graphics
Fighting - I suppose is one area that may last a long time before the gamers get fed up of constant shooting.
Simulations - Good area, combat flight, The Sims and there is a few intersting Sims coming out this year, this could last long
Well what do you think? will games ave new ideas every now and then? or will be stuck with sequels and copies of others? Well I guess we will never know until the future, crazy business gaming :D

Ha! I like that, quite amusing...lol
Briefing: The boss has given you a pay cut and given the burger maker, Sam, a pay rise. Now it's tiem to get revenge on both!
From the fries oven, spit chewing gum into burger buns as they close. MAKE SURE NO ONE SEES YOU!
Tap the shoulder buttons to chew (the more chewing, the more accurate the shot), aim with the analogue stick. Using button (x) fire. The power of the shot it worked like on those golf games.
Level 1: Sam is dosy and slow today. Not too hard.
Level 2: Sam is a bit quicker today. Might see you if you're not careful.
Level 3: Burger machine moved further away.
Level 4: Complaints have started coming in. Sam is more alert.
Level 5: Sam knows it's you but can't prove it. He's on his last chance but he's looking out for you. You'll have to be super good to get through this one!
I should be a game developer :D
I think that was me being sarcastic :D I was saying that this maybe what we have in future for new ideas
How could a MacDonalds Worker Sim possibly be a decent game???
I think that everyones been mislead by the need for originality...
You don't need to create genres for originality.
Sure, REALISTIC racing games can only improve physics and graphics but there's plenty of other ways of making a racing game!
How about a platforming racing game?
4 players running to the end of a race. You can take risks by doing shortcuts or try to slow down your opponents by getting in their way or jumping on their heads.
A beat-em up?
How about a game where the arena is a network of trampolines and you can only make contact in the air through good timing, skill, accuracy and tactics.
An original shooting game?
So in the future, directly killing someone is punishable by death but accidents only end in imprisonment. So gunmen have learnt to deflect shots of walls to avoid death sentance.
In other words a game where you've not only got to skillfully kill people by deflecting shots off walls, you've got to be careful not to accidently shoot them directly otherwise it's game over.
Bascially, the future of gaming is in me!
